Family law is focused on guiding clients through the separation and divorce process. This includes child custody, child support, spousal support and division of marital property and debt. Also included are issues involving domestic violence, alienation of affections/criminal conversation, termination of parental rights, grandparent rights and absolute divorce. We represent clients in negotiating separation agreements and property settlement agreements and litigation through the court system


Estate Planning, Administration and Probate Law

 

Estate planning and probate law is focused on guiding clients through the process of creating and executing a Last Will and Testament, Healthcare Power of Attorney, Power of Attorney, and Probating estates through the court system.


Civil Law

 

Civil law is a general term referring to a wide variety of non-domestic, non-criminal law.


Mediation

 

Steve has completed the mediator certification course required by the North Carolina State Bar. With over 40 years of experience as a family lawyer, Steve is highly qualified to act as a mediator for alternative dispute resolution mediation.
